My research is driven by a curiosity to explore how an individual's environment and past experiences shape behavioural variability—whether it's within themselves, among peers, or at a broader group level. Research Approach: My research aims to uncover insights that contribute both to our understanding of fundamental principles about variability in animal behaviour, to the practical application of this knowledge in improving the efficiency and welfare of livestock species. To do this, I utilise a combination of sensor technology, experimental design and statistical techniques. These tools enable me to unravel the behavioural patterns of animals.
